Back by popular demand! A limited edition of the famous Saturn V rocket that sent man to the moon. The Estes Saturn V is one of the finest 1/100 scale model rocket kits ever produced. Scaled from official NASA drawings, the finished model is 43.25 inches tall and lifts off to more than 150 feet with one powerful Estes D12-3 engine. The bottom section is lowered gently with two 24 inch parachutes and the upper section is recovered via a special recovery harness and 18 inch parachute. The internal structure has been improved for easier assembly and more realistic recoveries. This made in America kit now features precision laser cut centering rings, molded Apollo capsule, escape tower and main engine display nozzles that remove easily for flight. Building supplies, finishing supplies, Estes engines and launch equipment required - sold separately. Requires 3/16 inch Maxi launch rod (#302244) - sold separately.
