My toddler is obsessed with Cars, so we bought this for him for Halloween this year. I wasn't sure on the size since it says "one size" and I was also concerned because the picture in the search mode showed the costume we wanted with the 3D car, but on the actual product view it was showing the muscle outfit. This is the 3D car costume and it is a bit big for a 2 year old, but my son is adorable in it and loves it nonetheless. It is probably best suited for a 4 year old. The hat is a little flimsy and I agree with the other reviewer that you will need to stuff the front with some batting to ensure it has a 3D look.We already done the research and spend a lot of time for you. This is a quality costume, and it was $10 cheaper here than on any .com costume shop. With free shipping and no sales tax, it was $1 more than the super store costume that arrived with shredded seams in 5 places. those cheaper costumes are made with acetate. They do not baste the edges of the material. The material shreds. This costume is made of a thin stretchy velvet-like material. The sewing is of much better quality than the acetate costumes. I thre in some vampire fangs to get free Super Saver shipping. The only problem I have with that is it was a hybrid FedEx/USPS delivery service. FedEx did their part well. Then the costume sat at my local post office for more than two entire days before being put on a truck for delivery. The costume was very durable true to size. It also had a lot of accessories with it - a leather-like arm cuff, beads and feathers to complete the look. I just had to buy makeup and braid my daughter's hair. She definitely had the best costume of anyone I saw on Halloween. The product is very nice felt type material - actually will be like a nice jacket on a cool brisk halloween night. Quality is better than expected for a mail order costume. Nothing like the cheap "don't get near a fire" material you find on racks at stores. I would highly recommend spending the few extra bucks to get this over the entry level costume (although I personally have not seen that one, I don't think they could make it much nicer than this for about [...]). It is especially worth the extra $ if your child plays dress up or is the biggest Harry Potter fan in the world and will wear it night and day. P.S. I'm not reviewing this as a "toy" even though Amazon seems to have it linked/listed as a toy....it is a costume and that's why it got 1 star on my "educational value" rating. And as far a durability - for a halloween costume - it is very durable.
